I am a fourth-year engineering student at The Ohio State University en route to graduate with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Entertainment Design and Technology. Last summer, I worked at Cedar Point as an overnight Ride Technician. Here, I gained exposure to the design, upkeep, and intricacies required to keep the world's most extensive thrill rides operational. Invaluable lessons were learned related to the mechanical aspects of amusement rides and how it truly "takes a village" to keep any theme park safe, fun, and viable. In the Fall, I interned with Universal Creative, where my engineering skills strengthened on a construction site and in the office (via CAD, FEA Optimization, Mechanical Integration, Rapid Prototyping, Accelerations Testing, etc.) This Summer, I’ll be back in Orlando, assisting the Tech Services Engineering team during my Mechanical Engineering internship at Universal Epic Universe.
In previous years, I worked in other positions where I gained hands-on experience operating precision machinery. I've grown my skills with subtractive milling machines, additive manufacturing machines, and the teaching of others on how to use said machines confidently. Additionally, I have acted as a leader and mentor through extracurriculars and academic projects.
A passion for the industry of themed entertainment and attractions pushes my efforts to grow my skills as a professional. Though I always search for the next adventure, I value loyalty and responsibility toward my family, friends, employers, academics, and current projects.
